Licensed Social Worker
Alyssa Dallas grew up in rural Upstate New York. She attended State University of New York at Albany, majoring in Psychology and Public Heslth. During this time, she also attended Old Common Yoga Teacher Training Institute, receiving her 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher certificate. She moved to New England in 2014, attending Boston College studying Social Work and receiving her MSW and LICSW.
Alyssa has worked in various positions in the mental health field, including inpatient hospitals, day treatment programs, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (1-800-Suicide) and outpatient counseling centers. She currently works as an outpatient clinician and triage coordinator at Harvard Vanguard Behavioral Health in Burlington. Previously she worked in a variety of mental health settings working with adolescents and adults as well as on several mental health hotlines.
Alyssa commonly sees patients for help and treatment with anxiety, depression, mood and personality disorders, perinatal emotional complications, women’s health issues, and LGBTQ health and mental health issues. She lives in Groton with her husband, son, 2 dogs and 6 chickens. She enjoys time outside walking, live music, and reading nonfiction. Additionally, she has an interest in spirituality and is active in her faith community.
