Bob Smith-Peterson

Massage Therapist and Reiki Master Teacher

Bob is a Massachusetts Licensed Massage Therapist, Reiki master/teacher who practices massage through an eclectic approach, with a love of relaxation, arm, neck and shoulder work. A self-described “Renaissance Soul in the 21st century,” he has been providing client centered massage therapy since 2012.

Additionally, he holds a bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education: English from The University of Maine at Farmington, and has professional experiences as a camp counselor, direct service provider caregiver, teacher’s aide and business owner.

Bob’s journey into the healing arts began in 2003, as a junior in college. He studied and practiced reiki throughout college and beyond, and gained his Usui Master/Teacher certification in 2007. Three years later, working as a teacher’s aide, Bob decided to study massage therapy in order to complement his experiences practicing and teaching reiki. He graduated from The Massage School (formerly in Acton, MA) in 2011.

Since then he has apprenticed with an herbalist, taken classes in Thai Bodywork, Shiatsu, ACE Massage Cupping, and Cadaver Anatomy, and eagerly studies new techniques to deliver the best services possible to his clients. He is equally comfortable working on the mat or at the massage table, using his encompassing teaching/learning experiences to help address client needs and encourage good self care techniques.

When not working with clients Bob enjoys adventuring outdoors with his wife and step-daughter, table gaming, cooking, being a cat dad, and doing art.
